چکیده
Abstract Additive manufacturing offers a high degree of design freedom. When Design for Manufacturing is conducted properly, lightweight potential can be exploited. This contribution introduces novel approach the widespread fused layer modelling (FLM) technology when using orthotropic Fibre Reinforced Polymer filament. Its objective to obtain stiff and strong load-path optimized FLM structures in structured algorithmic way. The therefore encompasses (1) build orientation optimization consider weaker bonding between layers than intralayer; (2) topology with material properties favourable overall geometry inner structure; (3) direct path generation from alternatives (4) simulation. demonstrated lift arm under multiple load cases further demonstrator parts show its general applicability. Lightweight individual steps influence modifications contrasting non-FLM-specific are studied discussed.

Modeling of FRP-Strengthened Infill Masonry Structures
This paper presents an analytical approach to describe the behavior and mode of failure of infill masonry structures strengthened with fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) materials. The approach is used to simulate the response of strengthened infill masonry walls under the effect of out-of-plane uniformly distributed pressure simulating wind pressure. The approach includes a finite element analysis...
متن کاملDurability of FRP rods for concrete structures
Over the last two decades fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) rods have emerged as one of the most promising and affordable solutions to the corrosion problems of steel reinforcement in structural concrete. The application of FRP rods in new or damaged structures requires the development of design equations that must take into account the mechanical properties and the durability properties of FRP pr...
